Fire Breaks Out at Site of Lisa Vanderpump’s Upcoming Las Vegas Hotel: No Injuries Reported

A fire briefly erupted at the location of Lisa Vanderpump’s highly anticipated hotel in Las Vegas on Friday, DailyMail.com can confirm. The blaze occurred in the parking lot of The Cromwell, the boutique hotel currently undergoing a transformation into The Vanderpump Hotel.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and authorities quickly brought the situation under control.

A representative from Caesars Entertainment, the company overseeing the project, stated that the fire “was quickly extinguished” and that the hotel has since returned to normal operations. Senior Director of Public Relations Kala B.
Peterson shared further details with DailyMail.com: “Early this morning, a fire broke out inside the parking garage at The Cromwell. It was quickly extinguished, and there were no reported injuries. Out of an abundance of caution, some guest rooms were briefly evacuated.”

Video footage of the incident, shared on X by user @iSeeCyrus, showed smoke billowing from the front of the hotel while fire crews responded promptly to the scene. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined, and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The tweet accompanying the video reflected a mix of concern and humor: “#Cromwell is on fire! I guess Vanderpump wanted to start the renovations early … #Vegas #LasVegas,” the user captioned the post on July 4th.

The fire comes just months after Vanderpump announced plans to convert The Cromwell into The Vanderpump Hotel. The project marks her first foray into the hotel business, expanding her hospitality empire in Las Vegas.
“I am thrilled to once again be partnering with Caesars Entertainment, this time to venture into the hotel business,” Vanderpump said in a press release at the time. “What an extraordinary opportunity to develop this iconic location into something unique, playful and upscale.
Hospitality has always been our passion, and our mission is to create something sumptuous with a unique atmosphere.”
Vanderpump, a longtime restaurateur and television personality, is working with her design company, Vanderpump Alain, and her partner Nick Alain, to oversee the project. The new hotel is expected to retain the boutique charm of The Cromwell while introducing a fresh, luxurious aesthetic.
“Our successful history has always been based on the individuality of the location,” Vanderpump explained. “Through Vanderpump Alain, we can’t wait to breathe new life into this property and make it something truly magical.”
The planned transformation will affect all 188 guest rooms and suites, which will undergo a complete redesign. Additionally, the hotel’s reception area and front desk will receive significant upgrades, and a brand-new lounge will be constructed.
The design will incorporate signature Vanderpump Alain furnishings and bespoke lighting fixtures, aiming to combine elegance with comfort.
“As a hotel, there will be an emphasis on sexy elegance and comfort, with gorgeous rooms and a fresh, new feel to the casino floor. Vanderpump will also hand-select the amenities for hotel guests,” the press release stated.
The renovation is scheduled to begin early next year, with completion expected by early 2026. Despite the construction, The Cromwell will remain operational throughout the transformation.
Lisa Vanderpump’s upcoming hotel will become the latest addition to her Las Vegas hospitality portfolio. The celebrity restaurateur already owns several restaurants and bars in the city, making her a well-established presence on the Strip.
Her eateries, known for their upscale ambiance and celebrity clientele, have been featured in her popular reality television series, Vanderpump Rules.
The show, which has run for eleven seasons, follows the lives of staff members working in Vanderpump’s restaurants and bars.
Fans have been introduced to personalities such as Ariana Madix, Tom Sandoval, James Kennedy, Tom Schwartz, Katie Maloney, Kristen Doute, Stassi Schroeder, Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartwright, Scheana Shay, and Lala Kent. Cameras capture both the professional and personal dynamics of the cast, offering a mix of drama, romance, and intrigue.
Last November, it was announced that Vanderpump Rules would undergo a major cast overhaul for its upcoming 12th season, with Vanderpump herself remaining the sole returning cast member. The show continues to provide a platform for the Bravolebrity mogul to showcase her hospitality ventures and behind-the-scenes business operations.
While the fire at The Cromwell caused temporary concern, Caesars Entertainment and local authorities responded swiftly, ensuring the safety of guests and staff. The incident appears to have caused no lasting damage, and the project is set to proceed as planned.
The swift response highlights both the efficiency of the Clark County Fire Department and the commitment of hotel management to guest safety.
For Vanderpump, the upcoming hotel represents both a personal and professional milestone. It allows her to expand her brand into a new sector while bringing her signature style of luxury and sophistication to Las Vegas.
Fans and patrons of her restaurants and television projects are eagerly anticipating the unveiling of The Vanderpump Hotel, which promises to blend playful elegance with upscale hospitality.
As renovations move forward, The Cromwell will gradually transform into a space reflecting Vanderpump’s vision: bespoke interiors, luxurious amenities, and a unique atmosphere designed to provide an unforgettable guest experience.
Despite the early scare, the project remains on track to open in early 2026, marking another high-profile addition to the Las Vegas Strip and further cementing Lisa Vanderpump’s status as a major player in the city’s hospitality scene.
